Greetje Arends-Hakvoort is a horse trainer who owns three identical-looking animals: a Dalmatian dog, a Shetland pony, and an Appaloosa stallion, all of which exhibit magnificent black spots.
The three animals get along well despite their different sizes, and Greetje, their owner, frequently witnesses them running, exercising, and having fun together.
Greetje, a 35-year-old single mother, loves accompanying her 7-year-old daughter Jolie Lune Arends to visit the animals. Jolie Lune enjoys riding the Shetland pony, much to the amusement of onlookers.
Stallion with appaloosas Nevada: ten Napoleon, a six-year-old Shetland pony, and Jack Sparrow, a two-year-old Dalmatian, are the best of friends and enjoy impressing onlookers with their unusual matching spots.
Greetje from Kootwijkerbroek, the Netherlands, said, “I have always wanted a Dalmatian dog and I love spotted horses so two of my wishes came together in a wonderful way.”
Napoleon and Jolie grew up together because they were both born at the same time, and they are now the best of friends.
When the three of them are together, “people usually smile; frequently people refer to the 101 Dalmatians movie and it conjures up wonderful childhood memories for them.”
“Jack used to think of himself as one of the horses and fits in nicely,” said a friend of his.
