‘Robert B. Weide’ Meme Origin: Curb Your Enthusiasm
Well, to start, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” on October 15, 2000, was the catalyst for everything. It is a Larry David and Robert B. Weide produced American comedy sitcom (who also had his fair share of the meme). Each episode of the show closes with a problem that is going to get worse before cutting to the end credits and the show’s theme music, “Frolic” by Luciano Michelini.
It was originally used for amusement in 2011 by YouTuber Nikolaj Christensen, who uploaded a video of the movie “The Mist” closing with the uplifting theme from “Curb your Enthusiasm.” In seven years, the post had more than 23,000 views.
Since then, it has frequently appeared in popular video memes that we have all grown to know and love.
