Skinwalker Ranch, also called Sherman Ranch, is a building that is situated on around 512 acres of Ballard, Utah. The ranch is renowned for its bizarre accounts of UFO sightings, cow mutilations, Sasquatch sightings, and a skinwalker from a Navajo mythology about wicked witches.
The ranch is situated approximately south of Highway 191 close to Ballard, Utah.
Skinwalker Ranch History
The Utah Deseret News published claims about the ranch for the first time in 1996, although the first records of strange occurrences in the area date from the late 1700s. Explorers reported sighting a UFO in the night sky over their campfires while searching for the Spanish Trail.
The Uintah-Ouray Ute Reserve encircled a neighboring U.S. Army fort, Fort Duchesne, on three sides, making it a part of the reservation country. Nevertheless, the basin and the location of the future ranch were claimed by the Navajo in the early 19th century. The Navajo, who went by the name Dine, considered the freshwater and prime hunting grounds to be a paradise.
Once their area was restored, the Ute invaded and bought the Dine as slaves from the Spanish. The Dine allegedly cursed back in retaliation. This curse took the form of a spirit that could assume whatever form it pleased, whether that of a wolf, a person, or anything else. Alternatively put, a skinwalker.
What’s Really Going On?
There have been reports and observations of several anomalous occurrences as well as odd activities ever since the 1950s. Owners of Skinwalker Ranch and residents have long claimed that the area has witnessed enigmatic crop circles, animal mutilations, and extraterrestrial abductions.
The vicinity of the ranch has earned the moniker “UFO Alley” because to the high number of reports of extraterrestrial spacecraft sightings there. Numerous investigations have been carried out by experts since the 1950s in an effort to determine the precise nature of the problem. The ranch’s current owner erected a “command center” as soon as he took ownership in 2016, which was after buying the property.
There are rumors about the ranch’s history, but one thing is certain: the Skinwalker Ranch is the site of weird occurrences.
